Fool proof trash bags

Something that I've observed that a lot of cleaners in Denmark do wrong is placing trash bags into trash cans.

Did you ever observe this? The cleaner in your office just throws a plastic trash bag into your trash bin?

The issue with this is that if the plastic trash bag isn't secured to the bin's opening, the bag can fall inside the bin whenever some one places a heavier trash into it. Causing dirty and often liquid waste to spill into the trash bin container. That is really not a clean and healthy thing to happen and it is likely an extra headache to you.

So the solution I came up with after years and years of experience in the field of cleaning Danish offices is this:

• Take the plastic trash bag and tear it away from the roll! (This is important, as if you tear the trash bag away from the roll once you are emptying the trash can cause the trash bag to tear open on the bottom, causing trash to spill on the floor and into the bin)

• Place it into the trash bin

• Tie a knot on the opening of the trash bag to the outside opening of the trash bin (so it doesn't fall into the bin when heavier trash is placed into it)
